Hi and welcome to Lykken Surdeig!

I’m a 25-year-old woman from Norway with a deep love for sourdough baking.

My journey started after watching a video on TikTok and thinking: “This looks easy.”
But it quickly turned out to be much more challenging than I expected.

I began by creating my own sourdough starter, and it took me several months before I managed to bake a loaf that was actually edible. The results were unpredictable, and I never quite understood what I was doing wrong.

Everything changed when I started tracking what I was actually doing — recipes, temperature, timing, and techniques.

Suddenly, it became much easier to see what worked — and what didn’t.

In a short time, I went from “just okay” bread to light, consistent, and beautiful sourdough loaves.

That’s when I realized:

That’s why I created the Sourdough Journal.

A simple tool designed to help you connect the dots in your baking, so you can learn faster and achieve better results — without starting from scratch every time.

I’ve also gathered and simplified essential guides to make it easier for you to understand the process and succeed with sourdough baking at home — without having to search through endless advice and feel overwhelmed.


My goal is to make sourdough baking easier, less frustrating — and a lot more enjoyable.

Because anyone can succeed, with the right tools and a little patience.
